DC makes list of "Top 10 Real Estate Markets in College Towns" (Wall Street Journal) "Investors can expect handsome rents," notes the report, citing continually rising property values and high rental rates.

Builder confidence in new home sales remains low (NAHB) The home builder association survey finds that builders remain skeptical about the market for newly built, single-family homes in August.

Commercial property values rise in 2nd quarter (Costar) Commercial values in every index were up sharply in the 2nd quarter, but still 33% below peak.
