I live in a building owned by UIP and I'm continually astounded at their shady, unethical, and demeaning treatment of tenants. If I had a friend interested in renting a property owned by UIP, I'd work my ass off to convince that friend to steer clear at all costs. He stole my security deposit by refusing to return it even though I spent thousands of dollars maintaining and improving the property and left it in much better condition when I left than when I moved in. A word to the wise, do not rent from Steve Schwat or Urban Investment Partners. Their only concern is making money.
