And it's only a 10 minute drive to Capitol Hill. Or just take the bus/metro. Anacostia is reclaiming it's past and that's nice to see.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22305958.post-21448006627858565122007-11-20T19:03:00.000-05:002007-11-20T19:03:00.000-05:00hey, i know this blog has done a good job of cover...hey, i know this blog has done a good job of covering development everywhere in the city (all 4 quadrants) as well as outside of the city as well. i'm aware of, and paying attention to, stuff outside of the NW quadrant as much as anyone else. i actually kind of figured that, without a quadrant qualifier, this post was referring to NW, as most blogs in this city do when they don't specifically say SE, NE, or SW.IMGophhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10389077782536090328noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22305958.post-41685561439697382952007-11-20T17:37:00.000-05:002007-11-20T17:37:00.000-05:00Hehe, a little slight of hand to get you northwest...Hehe, a little slight of hand to get you northwesterners to acknowledge that there is another quadrant in this city. The "alley dwellings" seem large though. Alley dwellings in capitol Hill, etc are usually like carriage houses etc that are smaller than the main houses they are associated with.

The developer ought to consider that.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22305958.post-89640409097119290692007-11-16T01:12:00.000-05:002007-11-16T01:12:00.000-05:00....and they couldnt have chosen a more secure sit.......and they couldnt have chosen a more secure site. The project is just down the street from Poplar Point development (and hopefully the future site of DC United). With all of the development in Southeast DC, this site, in my opinion, has the strongest potential for equity growth over the next 3-5 years and it sure will make a wonderful addition to the transitioning neighborhood.

If I'm not mistaken, this was released at the HPO meeting in late October...when they also approved the new community center on Kenilworth.

Thanks again for the update. As an aside, the public record for 1242 W St SE says that the lot is zoned R4 and is only 3120 square feet and is addressed to W STREET ACQUISITION LLC. Are there other lots included in the development?Jesse Kayehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05248234170889894204noreply@blogger.com
