With the surface parking maybe DC can pull in a few more MD dollars instead of DC’s shopping dollars flowing out. It is a net gain for an area with few amenities (but w/ beautiful city views) At least they are breaking ground, the higher density projects at Fort Totten can’t seem to get any real traction and the land is on red & green line.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22305958.post-27673543302262414682011-04-26T16:59:36.133-04:002011-04-26T16:59:36.133-04:00Look at all that parking! Unfortunately (and for me personally, depressingly), according to the developer the financial risk for this site didn't work as a "town center" and banks were not willing to loan after the recession began. Hopefully the surrounding density will catch up and force a redevelopment sooner rather than later.Critically Urbanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18184976993311486195noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22305958.post-49481849915062355822011-04-26T10:05:50.841-04:002011-04-26T10:05:50.841-04:00Unfortunately amenities in the city are so far beh...Unfortunately amenities in the city are so far behind the surrounding area, …it is 1990.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22305958.post-20772413945784208532011-04-26T09:16:42.068-04:002011-04-26T09:16:42.068-04:00Did they know it isn't 1990?Did they know it isn't 1990?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
