On November 16,
Kettler and
Cypress Equities officially announced their joint venture’s development plans for
The Village at Leesburg, a major mixed-use project to be located along Route 7. According to plans, Kettler will handle the residential side of the project, providing 350 condos and building a 300-home adult residential community. Meanwhile, Cypress will develop 464,000 sf of retail, including a
Wegmans grocery store and restaurants, and 200,000 sf of office space. Kettler may also oversee construction of additional office space and a hotel. A major selling point with the town and Loudoun County is the developers’ commitment to build a new highway interchange and overpass at the intersection of Route 7 and River Creek Parkway. Construction is expected to start in Spring 2007.
