Trilogy apartments opened last week, and though the neighborhood's location is more contested than the Spratly Islands (either NoMa or Eckington, you pick), the first building is now open - and soon all 3 buildings and 603 apartments will be complete. Designed by the Preston Partnership and developed by Mill Creek Residential Trust, the project broke ground in March of 2011. Below are pictures of the completed portions of the building.

Ken : The Spratly Islands reference warms this cartographer's heart. Thank you!
The building looks great & I'm happy for the added density in the neighborhood. Now only if they let me use their pool I'd love them forever.
I particularly like how they designed the street-facing apartments on Q street. Each building has units with private entrances to the street just as you'd find in older neighborhoods surrounding the development. Should bring life to the street and be a positive environment for everyone.
I'll have to see this one in person. From the photos it looks like a slightly upgraded version of the trying-not-to-be-boring "podium product" which has been popping up in suburbia like mushrooms after a rain. But perhaps there are enough good urban design touches to overcome the overall blandness.
